ListBuilder — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-08
ListBuilder ("the extension") is a browser extension that lets a logged-in
eLead CRM user search their own leads, customers, and service records using
natural language and export the results. This policy explains what data the
extension handles and where it goes.
ListBuilder is an independent tool and is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, or sponsored by eLead, CDK Global, or their affiliates.
What the extension accesses
- Your existing eLead/CDK session. The extension reads the
session cookies (and, on the Unify portal, the SSO access token) that your
browser already holds for the eLead/CDK domains, so that searches run under
your own authenticated session. The extension never sees,
asks for, or stores your eLead username or password.
- Your eLead search results. Results (contact records) are
fetched directly from eLead's servers to your browser, shown in the side
panel, and can be exported by you to a CSV file on your device. Result data is
not sent to us, except the limited case
described under "Reports."
What is sent to our backend
The extension uses a backend service (a Cloudflare Worker operated by the
developer) for three things:
- Query parsing. The natural-language text you type is sent
to the backend, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to translate it
into structured search parameters. The query text is logged for up to
90 days together with your company/rooftop ID and prompt version, for
debugging and quota metering. The AI provider's API key is held only on the
backend and never ships in the extension.
- License validation & usage metering. Your license key
and a monthly search count are sent to the backend to verify your subscription
and enforce your monthly quota.
- Reports (only when you choose to submit one). If you click
"Report incorrect results," the extension sends your description, the query,
the search parameters, and a small sample of up to 5 result rows
(which may contain contact PII such as names, phone numbers, and email
addresses) so the issue can be reproduced. Reports are retained for up to 180
days.
Third parties
- Cloudflare — hosts the backend Worker and its storage.
- Anthropic — processes your query text to produce search
parameters.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it
for any purpose unrelated to providing the search feature.
Data storage on your device
The extension stores the following locally in your browser via
chrome.storage: your license key, saved searches, recent search
history, and UI preferences. You can clear these by removing the extension.
Your choices
- Don't submit a report if you don't want result samples sent to the backend.
- Uninstalling the extension removes locally stored data.
- For deletion of server-side logs/reports associated with your license,
contact us.
